enthusiasts that promote cannabis tourism events to other travelers as a way to enjoy California without going through the difficult process of purchasing and cultivating your own marijuana.
These events typically take place in specific places around California, includingornia, lively cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Oakland, as well as rural areas like Nevada where marijuana is not legal.
There are two major types of cannabis tourism: exploring the plants and experiencing the culture of marijuana growers.
Find reputable vendors
Find cannabis farms and dispensaries by going to them or looking up local resources such as the County Health Department or dispensary listings like www.vechain.com/find-a-farm/ .
As with any agriculture business, there are safety measures taken to prevent environmental contamination and animal abuse. Overall, cannabis tourism vendors are a safe bet as they take care to meet high standards in business practices.
Some people even invest money into cultivating their own bud, so getting involved with a farm is attractive. As with any job–whether you want to be an agricultural worker, operator, or salesperson–you may have to handle various responsibilities and standards, but not with the farmers themselves.
They are not heavily regulated, which can be appealing for entrepreneurs.
Understand the difference between CBD and THC
There are two main types of cannabis: CBD-dominant and THC-dominant. These come in different strains and packages, too!
Although many people understand CBD by its common name, nondescriptity, it is actually different from the more recognizable cannabinoid THC.
It is often thought that those who find CBD appealing must be strongly influenced by it, but this is not the case. People who use CBD do not report any significant changes in behavior or mental processes that have been studied.
It is the unique properties of hemp sources that contain small amounts of THC that create the appeal for people who want a little extra relief! Many people travel long distances to acquire their CBD through the use of substandard products or through commercial arrangements.
Learn about different strains of cannabis
There are many ways to learn about cannabis, as there are for strains, methods for learning about it. There are cannabis classes andourses where you can take your own or one of the many strains‘ representatives to learn more about this natural substance.
Ask your doctor for advice
It is important to remember that cannabis is still federally classified as a drug systemically, making it difficult to determine how to use or consume it. As a result, certain companies and/or individuals have begun offering cannabis tourism in California.
Many physicians are seeing an increase in patients who are interested in using cannabis for medical purposes, but are concerned about using it due to its legal status.
This has led some physicians to recommend using it only in safe situations with trained users. While this is true for any drug, there are specific rules and regulations for using cannabis that apply only to medical uses.
Ask your doctor if recreational use of cannabis is safe for youfrequency.
Prepare yourself for long drives
Driving through the San Francisco Bay Area is like driving through the pacific ocean. You have to pass by beautiful beaches, coastline, and majestic hills.

Driving through the mountains of California is like driving through the majestic Pacific Coast Mountains. You have to pass by beautiful beaches, coastline, and majestic hills.
Understood? Then you are ready for cannabis tourism in California! Many people travel to see what weed has to offer. The best way to visit a cannabis dispensary is on a Sunday, when there is no work and patients can get their products.
Sunday sales are the norm in most dispensaries as they expect large numbers of customers on that day.
Know your limit
While not a requirement, it is advisable to know your limit for cannabis use when traveling to California. Visiting the Golden State does not mean you can consume as much marijuana as you want, even if you feel like it.
Cannabis is still federally classified as a drug and therefore subject to federal laws. This includes visits to states that have legalized cannabis, which is the case in California and other West Coast states.
Under federal law, there are currently two limits for all drugs: one is the standard limit of two days’ use per day set by law at four days in total, and the second is the seven-day rule set by law at eight days in total.
While visiting an area with legal cannabis can be fun and inspirational, being too loose or too high can lead to criminal charges or being kicked out of the state.
Enjoy your trip!
While there are definite benefits to visiting a cannabis farm or enjoying a cannabis tour in California, there are also significant risks. These risks include being caught in the middle of a drug-trail, getting involved with marijuana, or becoming an accidental caregiver!
As with any tourism destination, watch out for suspicious vehicles and persons. And if you go on a tour, make sure your guide is qualified and sensitive to the patient population.
If you want to become an accidental caregiver or begin your journey as a producer, keep in mind that you will be breaking the law and that you may be responsible for someone else’s pain management needs. If you think someone else may need medical marijuana but does not have access to it onsite, try going to an area with good lighting and taking some pictures for yourself first.
